
Chengdu is located on the edge of the fertile plains of the Red Basin in China's Sichuan Province. Due to its agricultural wealth, Chengdu is sometimes called the "Land of Milk and Honey".
Chengdu weather is mild and humid all year round, featuring four clear-cut seasons – long and warm spring, short and sultry summer, cool and rainy autumn, cold and foggy winter.
You will find no shortage of delicious and fiery Sichuan food in Chengdu. Most of the food is quite spicy, be sure to specify whenever you order. The spiciest food in Chengdu is hotpot, although the tradition originated in Chongqing, so it is not really Chengdu food. Sichuan hotpots are basically a big pot of soup and spices simmering in a hole in the middle of your table.
三国时期,成都是蜀国的国都,所以保留了许多关于蜀国的历史人文遗迹。唐代诗人李白曾说“蜀国多仙山,峨眉邈难匹”,其中最有名的就是乐山大佛与峨嵋山,这两个地方更被列为世界文化与世界自然双重遗产。当然,来到四川,最不能错过的始终是世界水景之王-九寨沟。九寨沟以湛藍幻麗、宛若仙境的彩湖、瀑布、彩林美景聞名。西方人称这里为“童话世界”、东方人称这里为“人间天堂”,更有“九寨归來不看水”之说,可见九寨沟之美叫人难以忘怀。
三到六月及九到十一月是游成都的最佳时期。成都的春天来得早,通常在春节前后就春暖花开;秋天的成都则凉爽宜人,不冷不热,都是旅游的好时机。
四川菜是中国八大菜系之一,风格多样,素有“一菜一格,百菜百味”之称。川菜以麻辣最为知名,鱼香、家常、宫保、水煮等特殊风味各有特色,绝妙天下,回锅肉、小煎鸡、锅巴肉片、樟茶鸭子、豆瓣鲜鱼更是各擅胜场。
